February is the month of the Amethyst gemstone. Amethyst comes in a variety of shades of purple, from a light tone known as Pink Amethyst through the spectrum to the darkest and rarest Concord Amethyst.
The Amethyst gemstone is known as the stone of peace. It brings a calming and soothing presence. It reduces stress and balances mood swings, fear and anxiety. Amethyst activates awareness and opens intuition.
Amethyst works to bring tranquility to your mind and your crown chakra. Moreover, it helps to focus on healing any blockages that are holding you back from experiencing bliss.
Intentions and Awareness
I use amethyst to keep me balanced. I started wearing an amethyst necklace daily about two months ago and I can really feel the shift. As the end of the year was approaching, I was feeling a bit of anxiety about what the new year would hold. 2020 had so many changes. I started feeling a bit off balance and unclear on how life in general was going to look in the coming year. Having goals and looking toward the future is important however it is also important to stay calm and focused in the moment to moment of daily life.
When putting the necklace on I set that intention. It is always easy because our minds have a way of pulling us where we don’t need to be instead of staying in the moment. I really felt a calm wash over me within the first 2 days of wearing it. It is also a reminder to me to stay calm and present and simply touch it to reinforce that feeling.
Here are links to some past blogs on my recent travels and changes where I know the amethyst gemstone definitely helped me along.
Wearing a piece of amethyst jewelry on a daily basis I found is the best way to keep a calm mindful intention. Here are a few of my favorites
